Every lost round now ends with what to change
2026-10-31
Telling a team "you died too far from a teammate" is true and doesn't help much. What an in-game leader actually says after a lost round sounds more like this:
"You're B anchor. You pushed out of B and died at top mid at 1:10, so they knew B was open. Next round: hold B until they make a move, or take that fight with a teammate."
That's the shape RetakeHQ's lessons now follow: the player's job, the moment they left it, what it gave away, and what to do next round.
What it looks for
Each lost gun round is read for twelve kinds of mistake, from the player's role (anchor, lurker, entry, support, AWPer), where everyone stood and the kills around the moment that cost the round:
- An anchor who left their site before the Ts showed where they were going.
- A lurker caught before the team hit.
- The bomb carrier alone, with no teammate near.
- A retake played one player at a time.
- An entry with no flash thrown for it.
- A death a teammate close by didn't trade.
- A late, lost round where the gun should have been saved.
- A player who left the spot they were holding.
- A peek taken alone while ahead in numbers.
- A player who died with nobody near.
- A death without a shot fired.
- A death with grenades still unused.
Pistol rounds are left out: they are their own kind of round.
Where you see it
- On every lost round in Coach Review, under the round's facts, with a Watch in 2D button that starts just before the moment the lesson is about.
- At the top, as things to work on: the lessons that cost the most win chance, with the other rounds where the same thing happened.
- On each player's card, so every player sees their own.
When it's wrong
A lesson is a read of one round, and sometimes the read is wrong: the anchor was told to push, or the save wasn't on. Your team can mark a lesson That's wrong for a player, and that kind of lesson stops showing for them. Nothing here compares you with pros or calls something a pattern; those claims stay behind a chance test.
