Where pros plant on Mirage: A or B, when, and what it's worth
2026-10-30
Numbers from 54 pro matches and 1,176 rounds on Mirage in RetakeHQ's pro library (measured 2026-10-02). Each number says what it's out of.
A or B?
Pros planted in 581 of 1,152 T rounds (50%):
| Site | Plants | T rounds won after the plant |
|---|---|---|
| A | 343 | 252 (73%) |
| B | 236 | 188 (80%) |
A gets more plants (343 against 236, out of the 579 plants with the site recorded). The share won after a plant is close on both sites: a gap that size could be chance on this many rounds.
When the bomb goes down
The median plant comes 74 seconds after freeze time on A and 71 on B: about 0:41 and 0:44 left on the clock.
A plant is worth a lot
- With a plant, T sides won 442 of 581 rounds (76%).
- Without one, they won 67 of 571 (12%).
If your T side regularly ends rounds without a plant, that's the first thing to look at.
Rotations
Once the Ts hit A, the first CT from elsewhere on the map is on site a median 22 seconds later (half of them within 15 to 32 s); on B, 23 seconds (13 to 32 s). In 46% of A hits and 53% of B hits, no CT from elsewhere got there at all.
The early grenades
Out of 98 pro team-sides, counting a grenade when the team throws it in the first 30 seconds of at least 60% of its rounds (listed when at least 10 of the 98 do):
- T side: the Window Room smoke (96 of 98), a Top Mid smoke (20) and a Mid Boxes flash (11).
- CT side: the A Ramp molotov (76), a Chair flash (42), a Kitchen molotov (23), a Balcony smoke (22) and a Mid smoke (21).
